Melee Damage
Melee Damage is the form of damage dealt by short ranged weapons.
Melee Damage increases as Strength increases,
and is the preferred form of damage for the
Warrior and Rogue.
Melee Damage is a subset of Physical Damage, therefore Melee Damage caused by basic attacks benefits from
Life Steal and
Mana Steal.
Melee Damage is countered by
Armor, which in turn is countered by
Armor Penetration.
